Learning budget software
German companies spend €1,347 per employee per year on training (IW, 2023), and industry research puts more than a fifth of L&D budgets outside any managed process. Saganom turns that budget into a personal learning wallet for each employee, vesting over time, with an AI coach that helps them spend it well and reporting HR can defend.
A spreadsheet of allowances and a pile of expense claims tell you what was spent. They do not tell you whether it built anything. Good learning budget software does four jobs in one place.
You set a budget per employee, or per career band, and a vesting schedule. The money vests month by month, like equity. What has vested is available for the person's development; what has not yet vested stays with the company if they leave.
A course from your catalogue within the available balance is reserved on the spot: the company approved the catalogue once, so nobody signs twice. A course outside the catalogue or above the balance goes to the manager with the reason attached, and moves up after five days without a decision. Saganom books the course, pays the provider and sends one consolidated invoice a month.
Every euro goes through a double-entry ledger. Budget, vested, reserved and spent always add up to the cent.
Leo, the AI career coach, knows each person's role, their skills against what the role asks, and the money available. He recommends courses that exist in your catalogue and fit the balance, suggests experiences on the job when they build the skill faster, teaches your required trainings in ten minutes inside the chat, and offers a human coach paid from the same wallet when a real conversation is called for.
Wallet utilisation, cost per completion, skill uplift per quarter, required-training completion and survey results, by department, career band and sub-function. Every view is an aggregate of five people or more; no person is ever named, and coaching conversations are never read.
€7 per employee per month, Leo included. The learning budget itself passes through at cost: your money buys learning, never fees. We set the company up in the first week from the files you already have.
No. The wallet can only be spent on learning: catalogue courses, courses outside the catalogue approved by the manager, and sessions with a human coach. Nobody files an expense claim for a course again.
Unvested money stays with the company. The person's record of skills and certificates stays with them.
No. A catalogue course within the available balance is reserved immediately. Only courses outside the catalogue or above the balance go to the manager, and they escalate after five days without a decision.
Yes. HR adds internal trainings and files in the admin area, and can mark any course as required for everyone, a department or a career band, with a due date.
In the EU, in Frankfurt. Employer reporting is aggregated in groups of five or more, and coaching conversations are never shown to managers or HR.
